Spider-ey Background

This blog is a photo-diary for one type of an Australian spider.

As some very smart people may have noted, Australia has a lot of spiders. Some are scary things that could kill small children, but a fair few that most Australians are very familiar with are innocent, if gigantic things. This blog deals with one kind, possibly the biggest and furriest native spider.

The Australian Huntsman.

(What a nasty name for such a just-leave-me-alone spider.)

We have quite a few in our house, seeing as it's very open and there is a lot of rain about right now. And you can always tell when it's going to rain because the Huntsmans come into the house.

They always find odd places to set up camp for the day / night. So I thought I'd photograph them. And now I have a fair few. So here's the sharing-is-caring output!

See you later !
